They have houses but do they have homes?

Zooming past with mocking smiles

Living fantasies, living lies

Gold & silver clasped to their bones

They have houses, but do they have homes?

Live for themselves, lost on their own

Thousands to spend on, yet all alone

That infinite fortune can’t stop their groans

They have houses, but do they have homes?

Passing away the days that come by

In greed, in fear, only stopping to cry

Smiles are empty, even solitude is alone,

They have houses but do they have homes?
